Transgender Day of Remembrance
November 18, 2018
November 20th is the International Transgender Day of Remembrance, when we remember those who have been targeted for violence simply because they are transgender. This past year there were 369 reported murders of trans people all around the world.
As you may know we are in the process of becoming an Affirming congregration, and as part of that we need to learn more about what it truly means to be welcoming to all who are on the margins, including our transgender and nonbinary siblings. We believe that everyone (without exception) is created in the Divine image.
For worship on November 18th, the Affirm Committee have invited a special guest who is trans and Christian to share her powerful testimony.
Please join us at 10 am on November 18th.
