Music is a really important part of the worship experience – both for people who make music and those who listen. Congregational singing is led by our talented music team: Music director Diane Lines, vocalist Sam Ellington and percussionist Estelle Cormier. The hymns we sing are a blend of new and old, and include worship music from different parts of the world. We believe that all music is spiritual, so you will often hear contemporary "secular" music being used as well. All the words of the hymns are projected on the screen, but if you read music you're welcome to pick up hymnbooks at the door.

The Handbell Choir meets Thursdays from 6:00pm to 7:30pm, in the Sanctuary. The sounds of the handbells are beautiful, with the choir offering their ministry in worship regularly during the year, as well as seasonal concerts and outreach into the community. Currently, Sacred Bronze is looking for more Ringers if you wish to join in the fun call Mary at 604-463-1406. Reading music is an asset.

We also have created a PopUp Gospel/Jazz Choir called Grace Notes, gathering guest musicians and vocalists! We’re also looking for people in the congregation and community who would be willing to add their musical gifts to our worship life. Rhythm, string, brass, voice… let the church office know if you’d like to share in the ministry of music. Once a month we feature local jazz musicians in an afternoon Jazz Vespers service. You can find out more about Jazz Vespers and the upcoming featured artists here.
